fantastic park views and easy access to key landmarks
During our recent stay, we loved how we could easily walk to the 199 Steps and enjoy the warm atmosphere at a local café just a few minutes away, making each stroll a delight as we explored the beautiful surrounding area. it truly enhanced our experience of Whitby and its charming quirks as a couple celebrating our time away together.

Couples seeking comfort and great food
The room was clean and comfy and the food was really really good with plenty of choices on the menu I had a mini parmo from the children's menu and it was perfect even for an adult like me I mean it was gorgeous and large portions so can't complain about that and the staff were friendly and helpful like they really cared about us.
It wasn’t exactly inexpensive but you know for what we got it felt acceptable.

The Deluxe Double or Twin Room offers decent space, and the food here is noteworthy, especially the dishes like the fisherman's platter — piled high with fresh seafood and elegantly presented. The location is convenient for a stroll into nearby areas with scenic views, perfect for those wanting to explore.
The room cleanliness left something to be desired, with dusty bathroom curtains and a few cobwebs around the light fittings. The sash window didn’t close properly, letting in a draft, which can be bothersome at night. The shower also took ages to warm up, likely due to the older plumbing in this possibly listed building. Coupled with the presence of black mold around the window frames, it makes for an experience that could use some attention.

Inconsistent room cleanliness could be improved!!! The decor in common areas looks tired and needs an update!!! Limited TV channels in rooms could deter guests looking for entertainment !!!
